The leaves of water lily face toward the sun on a very humid early summer day. --"Looking toward the sun" - I was walking on a trail at Brazos Bend State Park near Houston, Texas, last year in the middle of summer. It was very hot and humid. Then I looked at these water lilly leaves. They were beautiful, never being defeated by strong Texas sun :)

My photography life started when I was working for a newspaper in New York City in 2005. Back then I was very busy taking pictures of humans and their stories and had no time to visit nature scenes. So my life as a nature photographer started several years later - in the beautiful Lone Star State, Texas.
